BioI--Live Journal member "dabrooklyn"--created this journal as a place to post my thoughts about political-related matters, and also to post links to articles on political topics that are of interest to me.
--My politics are left of center, but I vote as a Democrat.
--I am opposed to capital punishment.
--I am not a Libertarian.
--I am opposed to U.S. occupation of Iraq, but I am not a pacifist.
--I support reproductive rights.
--I support the implementation of universal, single-payer healthcare in the United States.
Although readers should feel free to post comments that oppose opinions made in my posts, I discourage efforts to engage me in a debate, or to change my mind on any particular subject--unless I ask for it, at some point.
NOTE: I will be screening anonymous comments, but will un-screen them for all to see, unless they are direct attacks on either myself or on someone else making a comment. I will delete direct attacks from anyone, anonymous or not.
